It all began a few years ago with a late summer idea on the island of Pantelleria, off the shores of Sicily.
At the time, both Legare and Viktor were working in New York, after years of living in Italy, and shared a growing desire to step away and reconnect with their original passion for design and craftsmanship.
After growing up in Charleston, Legare later moved to Rome to study Art History before joining Sotheby’s Auction House in New York.
Born and raised in the South of France, Viktor moved to Italy to study Marketing. He later started a career in the tech world in New York, before deciding to return to the creative industry where his heart belonged.
Meet the Founders
Sotokler Studio was born from this friendship in Rome, as a furniture procurement company dedicated to interior designers.
The early focus was on sourcing vintage designs. Over time, the studio’s network expanded, leading to close collaborations with ateliers across Italy.
Today, Sotokler Studio works hand in hand with artisans in Murano, Tuscany, and Naples to develop custom made furniture and lighting, and source unique antique designs.
